A
Few Reminders about the JLO Certificate
- A JLO LICENSE CERTIFICATE MUST BE VISIBLY DISPLAYED on all jukeboxes in operation by April 1st
or 20 days after the issuance date, whichever is later, to be deemed
licensed. Remove old certificates from your jukebox to avoid confusion
over the current licensed status of your box.
- The JLO certificate
should remain on all jukeboxes in operation until next year's certificate
is issued or until the box is removed from operation.
- If no certificate
is affixed to a JLO licensee's coin-operated jukebox in accordance with
the terms of the Jukebox License Agreement, the jukebox shall be deemed
unlicensed, and all performances of copyrighted musical works in the
repertories of ASCAP, BMI and SESAC given by means of said jukebox may
be deemed to be copyright infringements and may be subject to penalties
under the Copyright Law.
- Upon the JLO's
receipt of the Jukebox License Agreement, or renewal, and payment of
the JLO's license fee, a current certificate will be issued for
every jukebox covered by the Jukebox License Agreement.
